i have been doing car stereo for 20 plus years. I was sick of running 1/0 then to a distro- block, for power AND ground then running 4 more wires to the 2 separate amps.
i have had 5 channel amps in the past after that, but i was limited on sub woofer size and performance because the sub channels e only about 500 watts rms. So for me to have an spl type sub and amazing mids and highs i needed to have beefy amps at least 1200 watts rms on the sub, 75 watts on the mids and highs. most of the time when i looked for those amps requiring power requirements, i would see i needed extra battery, bigger alternator, big 3 and a prayer. i have a 2016 passat with a AGM battery, stock 150 amp alternator and I did upgrade the ground. I have a stock battery regulator so the stock 2 gauge wire would have to do. i called Bobby Gately and he was awesome on the phone. Bragged about the amp and told me with the right power i would see more wattage and it would be clean. well according to my included sub volume knob with temp and voltage my "1" amp see's average of 14.8 volts! and the amp is nice and cool (built in fan) and sounds amazing! he told me with that power i can be seeing absolutely more. So it looks awesome, sounds amazing looks bad ass built like a tank and has a great company behind it. for $900 price tag you will see why I'm a One Amp Guy. open the "gate" and come over to a new world of a car stereo experience.
