Alpha 6.5” use a 2” 4 layer high temp copper wound while the 8” Alpha subwoofers use a 2.5” voice coil of the same quality. 

Alpha 8” have a motor structure that consists of a 2 layer Y35 ferrite magnet that measures 6.14” in diameter by 0.99” thick per slug.
