The classic DD AUDIO style heat sink is used in this upgrade for max cooling with 50% more side wall thickness than industry norms and extra-long fins to increase surface area. All major components have been upgraded; higher current mosfets and output devices, increased power capacitors, a more powerful transformer, plus improved venting and PCB with twice the thermal capability.

The SS4.500 is a 4-channel amplifier delivering a minimum of 125 Watts per channel from a mere 30 square inch footprint. For the SS Series the main design focus was to pack as much full-range stereo output capability as possible into as compact of a chassis as possible. We utilized discrete circuit class D technology for ultra-low distortion levels that rival class AB designs. The resulting amp is capable of driving multiple driver mid-range and tweeter arrays while consuming less current, taking up less space and delivering more power.
